when you use the Talanu mobile application (the "App"), a Swedish language learning tutor available on
iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Key Points: We collect only the data necessary to provide our language learning service.
Your voice recordings are processed for speech recognition only. We do not sell your data to third parties.
You can delete your account and data at any time.

- WhatsApp Sign-In: Your WhatsApp phone number for verification

- Avatar URL (if provided)
- Language preferences

To provide personalized learning, we track:

2.4 Voice and Audio Data
The App uses speech recognition to help you practice pronunciation:
- Voice recordings: When you use the speech input feature, your voice is recorded and processed for speech-to-text conversion
- Processing: Voice data is sent to Google Speech services for transcription
- Retention: Voice recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers

- Infrastructure Providers: Our backend servers are hosted by third-party cloud providers who process data on our behalf

6.1 Where Data is Stored
- Locally on Your Device: Authentication tokens, cached exercises, chat messages, and preferences are stored on your device
- On Our Servers: Account information, learning progress, and chat history are stored on our backend servers (talanu-api.nenosys.se)

- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Authentication uses secure token-based mechanisms
- Tokens are automatically refreshed for security

- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
- Learning Progress: Retained to maintain your learning continuity; deleted when you delete your account
- Chat Messages: Retained to provide conversation history; deleted when you delete your account
- Voice Recordings: Processed in real-time for transcription; not permanently stored
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View your profile and learning data within the App
- Rectification: Update your profile information in the App settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data through the App or by contacting us
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke microphone permissions in your device settings at any time

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal

The App does not use third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, or behavioral tracking tools.
We do not track your activity outside the App or share data with advertisers.
